This is a gallery displaying the work of participating artists in the Painting to Music workshops held at the San Bernardino County Museum, California. The workshops are taught by Terry Long, a local professional artist and photographer, and are sponsored in part by the James Irvine Foundation.
About Painting to Music
Music can be a very useful inspirational tool for the artist. Wassily Kandinsky and Paul Klee were two well known artists to be influenced and inspired by music. This workshop explores the possibilities of using music to enhance your visualization skills, and to remove the debilitating creative block. Painting to Music is for all artists, from age four, to one hundred and four, and beginners to the advanced. Taught by Terry Long, who teaches art and photography at the University of Redlands, and has given art therapy workshops at Patton State Hospital for nine years. He has also been involved in teenage mentoring programs.
